Scholarships

The purpose of the Student Parents Empowered Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for childcare and/or other critical needs related to helping student parents succeed in post-secondary education. Applicant must be a student-parent in Bexar County, Texas who is raising a child/children and attending college or university as a full-time or part-time student. The scholarship award is subject to the rules as established and/or modified from time to time, by the Student Parents Empowered Scholarship Committee.  

Scholarship for Fall 2023 to Spring 2024 semester will open 5/15/2023.  Deadline to apply for this scholarship is  6/30/2023. 

To qualify for this scholarship the applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Applicant must be residing in Bexar County, Texas to be considered
• Must be attending a college,  university, vocational school and be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student
• Must be student parent currently raising a child/children while enrolled in college , university, or vocational school
• Must maintain enrollment in 2023-2024 school year 
• Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA
